Together, we’ve leveraged our expertise in consulting, product management, UX, UI, and frontend development to navigate complex terrain, including legacy systems, acquired companies, integrations, and intricate processes. Our primary goal of establishing a robust website architecture and ecosystem initially tailored for English-speaking audiences in the United States was a success! Then, we extended the website’s capabilities to multiple global locations and languages. To achieve this, we set up a translation gatekeeping model, enabling translators to have siloed access for different languages and locations in a staging environment that is reviewed before deploying to production.

Watoto.com stands as one of the most innovative WordPress implementations in our portfolio, seamlessly blending out-of-the-box and custom solutions, along with pioneering integrations. Working alongside the Watoto team is always a pleasure, as they love what they do and provide incredible videos and photography assets that powerfully convey the stories of the individuals they help and protect. That’s exactly what we did for Runners for Public Lands (RPL). We had the privilege of crafting the RPL brand, and its been incredible to witness their vision of building inclusive running communities dedicated to environmental protection evolve from a local group in Ventura, California, into a national movement capturing widespread attention. RPL’s rock star board of directors, brilliant managing director,  and brand coalition – including Patagonia, HOKA, GU, on, Topa Topa, and more, testify to the impact of their work. While we can’t take credit for all RPL is doing today, we’re proud to have played a role in shaping their brand, from the logo and initial style guide to the website and early days of collaboration. Today, RPL’s remarkable team continues to rock it, and we’re honored to have been part of their inspiring story.

Avnet’s New Digital Magazine

Bringing Avnet’s vision to life – a benchmark-worthy interactive publication.

Our work began with Avnet’s vision for a new publication, and we were determined to bring it to life in a way that redefined industry standards. We started by contributing to naming the publication, crafting the masthead, and devising a strategy to transform their valuable content into a captivating and interactive experience. Selecting the perfect platform was key, and after evaluating and vetting 5-7 options, we recommended Foleon due to its exceptional versatility and out-of-the-box capabilities.

Collaborating closely with Avnet’s creative director, we mapped out the publications identity. Our core focus was on infusing dynamic movement, seamlessly integrating animations, videos, and interactive charts and graphs to create an immersive and delightful reader experience. After creation and  setup of the first two issues, our team also created training documentation to empower Avnet’s internal team for future issues.

Our relationship with Carry The Load, a non-profit that we wholeheartedly believe in, goes way back, and our connection with the executive director extends even further. What started as creative consulting and website technical support has evolved into a trusted partnership where we provide guidance and expertise in marketing, content, creative design, SEO/SEM, and development.

We’ve assisted with a website redesign, program enhancements, integrations, and online store via Shopify, and much more. Witnessing Carry The Load’s transformation from local impact to a national presence in just a few years has been truly inspiring. We’re excited about the continued relationship and are proud to have helped Carry The Load take advantage of the Google Ad Grant program, harnessing approximately $10k in free ad placements in the Google ad network each month to further their mission.

We stepped in to architect a streamlined multi-server cluster solution and proof-of-concept software capable of efficiently processing vast data sets, yielding visual insights. By collaborating closely with CableLabs’ engineers, we helped transform hypotheses into digital realities, navigating complexities and identifying both problems and opportunities. Working hand-in-hand with such forward-thinking innovators was both challenging and rewarding, a testament to our passion for turning data into actionable knowledge.

Our team worked closely with Uber, embedded in their teams, to tackle a range of projects, from migrations and support tickets to feature and functionality enhancements. The result is a dynamic WordPress website that beautifully illustrates the synergy of branding and messaging. The project also underscores  that not every website requires a custom, costly technical solution to make a significant impact.

Collaborating with consultants is always a rewarding experience—they understand the art of transformation and improvement.

When HBR Consulting, a firm of legal consultants, sought our expertise for a redesign and HubSpot integration, we embraced the challenge. We devised a hybrid WordPress solution on a builder platform, empowering their marketing team to unleash their creativity to support various departments effortlessly, day in and day out, eliminating the need for our designers and developers. We provided documentation and videos to help make training and handoff seamless.

HBR Consulting, LAC Group, and Wilson Allen combined and relaunched as Harbor in August of 2023.

Testing messages and pilots for optimal ROI.

Our collaboration with McBeard on projects for Coca-Cola was an exciting endeavor. McBeard engaged us in the testing of multiple ad banner messaging approaches for Diet Coke, where we executed nearly 200 animated banners and developed templates to streamline future banner development.  Additionally, we joined forces to design user interfaces for Coke’s Tweet-a-Coke project in partnership with Regal Cinemas. Our scope of work encompassed creative direction and design for both desktop and mobile interfaces, which were then handed off to one of Coca-Cola’s development agencies for implementation.

Shaping 21 Jump Street’s digital presence – a successful creative partnership.

Working alongside McBeard, The Buddy Group and Sony Pictures on the digital marketing campaign for the 21 Jump Street film was fun. Our responsibilities included overseeing the creative direction and development of a multifaceted digital campaign that included the official interactive website, an engaging Facebook app, an interactive YouTube video in the style of a choose-your-own adventure with Ice Cube, and a whimsical yet informative training manual with shareable content.

To bring our vision to life, we organized a custom photoshoot to capture the essence of the film. For the technical execution of the website, we enlisted the expertise of The Buddy Group.

The culmination of our collective efforts was a success, with the film grossing an impressive $201.6 million at the Box Office. The Sketchfolio team takes immense pride in contributing to the film’s digital marketing success.

Our partnership with LeaseRunner is work we think is foundational to our beginnings. We worked together to map out some new territories and what began as a simple tenant screening/online leasing conversation over dinner and drinks blossomed into a decade-long collaboration marked by innovation and growth.

We provided comprehensive support, spanning user experience, design, development, and maintenance, contributing to LeaseRunner’s remarkable success as a SAAS product with thousands of customers and millions in monthly transactions. Our integrations with credit bureaus, such as Experian and TransUnion, were novel, likely influencing their API documentation and benchmark examples. In return, LeaseRunner taught us the power of customer-driven priorities and process improvements, enabling them to expand their customer base without expanding their support team. Witnessing this evolution has been nothing short of incredible.

A start-up story at Pepperdine University.

When your alma mater, Pepperdine University, seeks your assistance in building the brand of a new church community on campus for students, it’s a privilege to lend a hand.

This startup project began with crafting a logo and brand identity, followed by the creation of a Webflow website, all with the aim of fostering authenticity and meaningful connections. In just under 4 weeks, we created a logo and website for Waves Church to kick things off. And in just a few short weeks, the numbers are growing – over 200 students are gathering weekly. More of a testament to the dedication and drive of the leaders over our work, but we’re immensely proud to be part of Waves Church and Pepperdine’s mission for this new student community.

Bobo’s Oat Bars

Adding some “digital” flavors for Bobos.

Our work with Bobo’s Oat Bars, a company we deeply admire, was exciting. Started in Boulder, Colorado, Bobo’s trusted us to extend their playful packaging and logo illustration style into a website redesign. The whimsical “doodles” brought illustrations, flavors, and various pages to life in a delightful way.

We fondly remember visits to their factory, where we captured photos and videos (and enjoyed some of their delicious treats). We had the pleasure of illustrating their entire team for the “About Us” section of the website. While our formal collaboration with Bobo’s has come to an end, we cherish the time we spent together and continue to enjoy their incredible products, typically always stocked in our Lafayette office. It brings a smile to our faces to see Bobo’s Oat Bars everywhere we go.

Collaborating with distinguished creative agencies like Fathom Creative for McLarty Associates was an honor.

Entrusted to build a long-standing client’s website, we delivered a hybrid WordPress solution that combined off-the-shelf functionality with custom elements tailored to their unique needs. The new website, built on WordPress, featured customizations including an interactive world map, a robust employee/industry management module, and some backend architecture for a Chinese translation.

In a world where excessive customization can lead to maintenance challenges, our pragmatic approach allowed McLarty to prioritize content, brand, and creativity while ensuring a stable and efficient technical foundation for their online presence.

Rorke Global Solutions (RGS) recognized the importance of making a creative impact at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) trade show, an event dedicated to promoting innovation in the classroom and showcasing the latest educational technology. Tasked with this exciting challenge, RGS turned to us, offering a blank canvas to craft a compelling presence. Our approach began by thoroughly understanding RGS’s goals, target audience, competition, and the trade show environment. In addition to the booth design, we extended our creative touch to include other seamlessly coordinated marketing assets, such as retractable banners, iPad digital signage, postcards, website landing pages, and HTML emails. This project was a testament to our ability to transform an initial idea into a captivating and cohesive brand presence.
